Had a fun weekend!

I watched Heather get hit by a softball three times ( that wasn’t fun to watch, but her kicking ass was).
I brewed a Belgian Ale beer (should be ready by Hallowe’en)
I relaxed and de-stressified myself.
I spent money on something I thought I would never spend money on (please save me) — Magic: the gathering cards.
I swear it’s just so I can play with some friends at work… honest!! (grumble)

I’m back at work and both my bosses are out from MN. Not much in the way of real updates, I’m afraid.

Heather and I got on our plane at Oakland at 12:00PM PST and flew to Phoenix, stopping for a while before our connecting flight to Atlanta. While on that plane, we met and chatted with a nice woman about our age (this figures in later).

We arrived in Atlanta at about 9:20PM, where we met Celia , Andrea , Cara , and their friend Rishard (I don’t know if he is on LJ or not, VERY nice guy). We hugged and chatted and made our way on to MARTA into the City Center.

We left the group to go check in and drop off our sizeable luggage in our room.

We then rejoined our partners in crime with the adittion of Josh (don’t know if he is on LJ) and Yolanda (Sp?) where we had drinks (I had a Caipirinha, the national drink of Brazil) and food. Cara and I almost did karaoke, but it was too late.

and I are back from Hell^H^H^Hotlanta. I’m not a plant, I don’t need that kind of humidity.

More posting later about all the big fun and wonderful people met, etc… now is resting time.

almost done with work and ready to get to Atlanta!!!

weeeee I’m going crazy cause work is super stinky. But I’m still happy, damnit!

Head and I went into The City* after work for some quick D*C shopping and such, visiting the Haight and finishing in the Castro.
Had bunches of fun, chatted and stuff. Some of you at D*C will soon see what fun things we found.

Only one workday left till our flight out (squeeeeeel), getting quite excited, but need to make a list so’s that I don’t forget anything.

Can anyone suggest things I need to bring that I may have forgotten (or would have forgotten had you not so thoughtfully reminded me?)
— Yes, this is a super secret lazy way to make all of you do my list for me. — 😀 heh heh.

Best part was on the way back to the car a capital-G gorgeous boy on the corner took off his shirt to reveal his absolutely stunnnning torso. I don’t know if he was hooking or advertising or teasing, but who cares? It was a public service. Ahhhh I love The City*.

Tire blew out on me on the freeway on Sunday.
Got it towed to the local Costco (after a brief verbal repartee with a bastard towtruck operator) and got 4 new tires.
Q3 bonus I just got: $250
Cost of 4 tires: $245.

Oh! AND 2 of the 5 lugbolts were stripped, and one of the stripped ones broke! So I have to have the wheel mount replaced. 🙁

That can wait till after D*C, though. Nothing is stopping this non-stop fun-train! Woooo-Woooo!

Both H and I are taking ‘s lead today and staying home cause we’re sickies.
I tried to push monday and tuesday being/getting sick, but today is one day too many to deal with workplace and sickness.
Of course, I’m still doing a good deal of work from home today, so perhaps I’m a masochist.
Or, am I a control freak? 😀
