So my foot had been hurting since about tuesday of last week – It sometimes gets sore, but then becomes OK after a few days. This time it did not. By Sunday it was still swollen and red.
Went to Urgent Care where I was diagnosed with a bacterial infection that requires IV antibiotics. I spent that night there with IV antibiotics that showed great success. I’ve now been at home since Monday morning with my IV in and home IV treatments that I give to myself. I’ll be on the IV till at least Wednesday when I have another appt. with my Doctor. I’ve been complimented on my veins (young, elastic and durable) as well as my recovery rate. It also gave a chance to have bloodwork run, which turned all well and normal. No diabetes symptoms [yet – runs in family], white count in norms. The only thing I have to watch for is high blood pressure [which also runs in the family].
So it gives me a chance to work on my City of Heroes/Villains characters and watch movies and snuggle with Budge, who is more than happy to have me on the couch with my leg elevated. Budge is currently wedged between my leg and the couch and snoring loudly.
Krampus cards will continue – I’ve only gone through 1/3 of them with you (though about 1/2 of the cool ones).

I had a serious bacterial infection in my leg about a year and a half ago. It was NOT fun, and it forced my friend to drive me 70 miles to an emergency room for treatment – it hit me very quickly. (Will send grody pictures if you like…)
