Late notice, but I got a bug up my butt about this:

Who would be interested in a pre-rolled, one-off RPG game (mystery/pulp/30’s) this Saturday evening at Craig & Heather’s?

You’d be given a character, I expect to finish the story in one setting, and it’s a slumber party with cocktails and jammies.

I was thinking especially of , , , , , , , etc..

Also respond if you’d be interested in the slumber party aspect (movies, snacks, talk) but not the RPG. I’m open to discussion!
For instance, with suggestion it could turn into “sushi slumber party.” or “boardgame slumber party,” or “tiki slumber party.”

So last night leaves for night class, and about 50 minutes later I get a call from him from the Hospital.

He was hit head on by a driver who ran a stop sign, he was the only one hurt with two busted fingers on his left hand, but his car is totaled.
Got to the Hospital, waited around for them to deal with Kaiser, and brought him home on Morphine and starting on Vicadin – he’s to go to the Kaiser ER today to get a hand orthpedist to work on resetting his fingers.

I’m waiting on hearing news, so I can relay it and stop worrying.

Went to a play on Sunday – Oscar Wilde’s “An Ideal Husband” – community theatre, Marin.

Our friend Martin played the lead. He was really good.

Everyone else was horrible. Just horrible. It was painful to watch. I don’t know how he could stand being in it… 😉

Monday, Monday.

is away at a training in smugland/smogland today and tomorrow, so I’m all alone!
I think I’ll be boring and clean the house – yep. That’s my idea of excitement! Cleaning.
Though I did get a bit of a breakthrough with my third Sim City (the first 2 were complete failures). I think this one will be a failure as well, but I’m starting to figure it out. I just can’t turn a profit in the city. I resisting the cheats at the moment – I want to play this without resorting to cheating. We’ll see how long I’ll last.
Work’s “eh” at the moment – at least I’m doing really visible things right now…

We caught Penn & Teller: BULLSHIT! last night on Shotime.

Ok, we really didn’t ‘catch’ it, since we purposely re-ordered Shotime just to watch it.

This week was debunking Psychic talkers to the dead and such rubbish, what a great show. What a god damned fabulous show. I certainly hope they put these on DVD.

Also, before it was on, I caught (actually, this time) the movie North. Damn, I love that movie. I remember being very alone in that opinion, and to this day I just don’t understand why it wasn’t a hit or popular or what not. I mean, yeah the acting is not that great, and yeah, there are many kids in it – but the art direction and the simplicity of the story — it’s like watching a colourful Children’s book, or a happy Roald Dahl. Everything is so classicly cliche. Ah well, I’ll just have to like it all by my lonesome. 😉

How can you hate and like a job at the same time? Is it just like a slot machine, am I happy here when I get cherries, forgetting I mostly get nothing?
