If not Dean, this guy should do as well. Anyone know about him?
Cognative Dissonance
It is hard being a philanthropist when people, on average, suck.

New York, New York! The town so nice, they named it twice!!
Malaise
Feeling strange and sore and sick all day: I think I’ll take off early. Home, here I come.
Hansel, get ready!
Fahrvergnügen
I have been converted by manual transmission. I recently learned to drive Manual in our Convertible Cabrio and I have been consumed with Fahrvergnügen. I realized this I think when I drove the 8 hour trip home from SoCal to NoCal and was sad to have to stop driving. Taking Hansel (that’s his name, hansel) a couple of days this week has driven (pun unintended) this home to me: I love driving.
Now I have _never_ loved driving before, always saw it as a chore or a bother. I love it now, but only in manual transmission. I drive my Automatic Toyota and it is back to the drudgery. All I looked forward to in driving was a nice enclosed space to blast my music.
Now I have a soundtrack to a driving experience!
Farhvergnügen. I sound like a frikken commercial.
So Thanks to
Who’s up for a road trip? Hansel is.
quitting
I think we should all quit our jobs, walk out and kick every person in the head on the fucking way out.
GenX revolt!
The dude abides.
This sure sounds like fun.
I could really use a caucasian myself.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
The movie:
We saw it last night at 10:00.
How can any decent company watch a movie like this and release it? It really should be against some kind of intellectual honesty fraud law.
Worst
Movie
Ever
(and my expectations were low already!)
I’m going to kick Sean Connery square in the nuts the next time I see him and shout “You owe me sleep and $9 dollars you washed up has-been!”
Pirates of the Caribbean Update
Yes, I’m sure everyone is just dying to hear my opinion about a movie (everyone is a movie critic, it would seem).
I certainly enjoyed the movie immensly, I have some minor quibbles / areas of discussion:
1. The End:
I was disappointed by the clean, neat ending. I found the governor’s sudden change of approval to go beyond by suspension of disbelief. A far better ending would have involved Captain Sparrow helping Mr. Bloom run away for adventure, and of coure Elizabeth would have to abscond to chase after him. Much better.
2. Will’s Father:
So far I have been the only one to notice that by dropping the bloody gold in the chest and disenchanting the curse, Will also sealed his father to a grisly fate of drowning at the bottom of the ocean. I wonder why this was not addressed at least in passing? Too depressing?
In other news, having major thoughts about my future and my career (being very dissatisfied with the direction, while still used to the income. I really need to see what I do not like and work to change that. Would another company be better for me [as I abhor my current one to the point of contempt], or is the industry all the same? Am I tired of concentrating on Microsoft Technologies, or am I a tech burn-out altogether? I remember liking a mix of platforms better – I miss my unix skills. (though being MS-friendly, I certainly do not miss the Loonix loosers and Maclot iTards. note: these are subsets of idior fanatics, not general proponent of said platforms).
Pretty much I guess I am depressed by my career and do not know what to do about it.
Here is a thought though
I think the fact that I am so happy and pleased and satisfied with my relationship with
Ah well, quite a long ramble.
My new favourite playing cards
Wee!
Glad to see these have been made. I’ll have to order a few to give as gifts. 🙂
