I hate Cory Doctorow
Well, not really hate, since I don’t know him well enough for that. But every word that I have read from him makes me want to duct-tape his mouth and cut off his fingers.
I wish I could have an ingore filter on blogs because I would really like Boing Boing better if I could make a filter “-doctorow -guatemala”

Oh, my – I may have to start watching that retooled star search show after all, so I can http://www.votefortheworst.com/.
Delicious.
The interweb looks bleak.
Man, it’s a freakin’ buttermilk day on the interwebs. Sack up, hoes! Jeez.
Friday is finally here, I though it would never come. Now if it were only after 5, eh?
I’ve been a bit of a crab lately, but I’ve held it in pretty well. The first way my crab manifests is that my tolerance and patience for the simple-minded people I have to talk to, manage, and deal with becomes absolutely nil. Nada, nichts. Can’t figure something out with out me giving you a flashlight and a map? Fuck off and die. Refuse to put your ideas and issues in perspective? They become invalid to me immediately. Seriously – as soon as I get a touch crabby, I cannot suffer the dim-witted, slow, socially retarded asses to fucking live. It’s funny. 🙂
But I’m still in a good mood in spite of the common man. But seriousy, people – are the getting more unaware and self-centered? Or am I just becoming less tolerant of the entitlement generation(s)?
I’m looking forward to this weekend and nice cuts of corned beef, stouts, cabbages, mustards, and Tiki work.
Puttanesca
Last night I made some fabulous Puttanesca. It was the first time I have used the new Cuisinart for chopping – both the olives and sun-dried tomatoes were chopped by mechanical means. It may have been my best showing yet.
Either that or it has been long enough that I forgot how delicious Puttanesca is. This time I also used quality Aleppo and Ancho chile powders instead of the ominous “red pepper flakes” that are the usual part of the recipe.
I took some snaps of the sauce, which I’ll have to remember to upload if they turned out well.
Vanity & Lust: Possibly leading to Jealousy and Wrath?
Violating my own rule of no “me too!” posts, I go against my usual inclination to post thusly:
Back on the track, jack.
Back home, back at work, back busy. Week at training was great, evenings with seattle friends was great (sorry we didn’t get any time, nobrakes.). I’m tired, but OK.
Internet connectivity was up and down at each hotel, so I didn’t read much LJ.
So – anybody miss me?

hay seattle peoples! 🙂
I’m hanging out at hula hula tonight – I’m shooting for 8pm! Tell ’em large marge sent ya!
Old Man and Old Bands
Yes, I’ll bet I’m a bit behind but this past week/weekend I have discovered the following bands:
Electric Six: Ok, I knew Gay Bar of course. Why didn’t I ever say “hey, I wonder if that band has some other stuff?” Beacuse they do. And it is good. Oh, dear, I’m afraid the attraction is deadly. I so need to do so many dirty things to the lead singer of Electric Six. Oh, Oh, My.
Hot Hot Heat: Bounce
Goldfrapp:
I may be slow to get onto these things, but thankfully it means 2-3 albums’ worth of fun for each that I can delve into.
