The quarter is over! I have just came into work after my Geo final. Done, done, done. Now to concentrate on Krampus Nacht.

I have nothing else to update yet. Oh, except that on the anniversary of pearl harbor, I’d like to say I have a good deal of compassion for the poor deluded souls who are fighting for corporate interests,um I mean Our Freedom! Of course, I also have to say it’s on par with the compassion I have for fred phelps, that lady who killed her kids by drowning in the tub in Texas a few years ago, and Red State Bush voters. Poor saps who perpetrate evil in the name of good, still thinking they can wield that one ring. My cynicism and rudeness, of course, does not apply to those brave individuals who actually did fight against such evil (WW II – a lonely example of soldiers actually fighting for freedom). Poor dumb bastards.

I was soo tired this morning and did not want to get out of bed at all. AT ALL. I was so comfy in a snuggle with H and was loathe to ruin it. Ah well, no rest for the wicked.

I used to always take my coffe with cream (milk) and sugar. I was converted to black a few years ago after having straight black Peet’s.

Now, I take my coffee black when it is a good brand of coffee. I have tried to ‘treat’ myself with cream and sugar in fine coffee but have been very dissapointed since I now feel it covers too much of the good flavour.

But You know what? Crappy coffee (epecially crappy strong percolator coffee) is DELICIOUS with cream and sugar.

Go figure.

December 2nd.

Paid Dec bills last night, caught-up and on-time for the 2nd month in a row. Our new bill paying system seems to be working – Our account balanced from last month’s figurings. Go figure.

Tonight we go to for free because we’re members – yay free holiday cheer!

We started to decorate the Den for Christmas and the party and I have to say it looks cheery. We’re going to have a limited budget for the party, so if you are deciding to come and feel the need to “bring something,” by all means, bring booze. 😀 Since liquor is now a luxury, our backstock has been dwindling… :S

I’m at work early – more jobs coming our way that I’ll talk about after they air. You’ll likely all see it, it will be national.

Oh and if anyone saw the CBS promos or the OfficeMax commercial that look all Rankin/Bass christmas-like, Yeah, That’s us.
We did the Oregon Lottery “gingerbread sells his smell” commercial as well. I guess I can stick around here for a while. 😉

Damn I’m always busy it would seem

Had a good TG holiday, though The OC (and soCal) just keeps getting worse (or do I keep getting better?) Too many people, not enough taste. <--- Sums it up. Trying to effect some change here at work is going to be like pulling teeth. And I'm going to need to spend more time on it than user support if I want to be successful. Hard decision, but it is time to think bigger picture for a while. Was hard to get up this morning, but I did it! Weee. Plus I was good enough to unpack my clothes from the suitcase last night, rather than the usual "leave it around forever" routine. Small steps. I really want to get a tree soon! Need to clean first though. All energies into the party in TWO!WEEKS! (and ONLY! ONE! WEEKEND! TILL!) DO NOT PANIC. Oh, BTW it is on the Friday, 10 Dec 2004 from 8:00 - whenever. Get a head start on the celebrating. And I'm trying a new thing: No support website for the party. It's shocking I know. and I are here at PDX and they have free WiFi, and since was nice enough to borrow a laptop for the weekend, that means LJ post!

I even found a power outlet so I’m not running on battery, and the WiFi internet connection is ~800k/s. Not too damn bad. Did I mention it is FOR FREE? 😉

Does anyone know what the Fi stand for in “WiFi?” HiFi is High Fidelity. Is WiFi Wireless Fidelity? 😀

On another geeky note, I tested a connection to my Home network through VPN and it worked like a charm. Quite a bit of GeekLust in sitting here at PDX and surfing the hard drives of my servers at home. Nifty, Indeed.

Well, I think I’ll be off to surf the net while we wait. It is 3:30 and our plane boards at 4:45.

Perhaps I’ll install trillian. 😀

That’s me whining.

Half-Life 2, Sid Meier’s Pirates!, and Battle for Middle Earth all are out of have gone gold and will be out soon.

And this is me withought money to purchase said games or money to upgrade a computer to play them with.

Got an A on my 2nd midterm in GEO, which makes 2 A letter grades so far. This afternoon I’ll see what I got on my 2nd Lab Practical (1st was aslo an A).

It is my only class, and it is entry-level geology, but it’s still great to get good marks none the less.

This Monday is a Thursday! 2 day week, yay.
