Yes, I’ll bet I’m a bit behind but this past week/weekend I have discovered the following bands:
Electric Six: Ok, I knew Gay Bar of course. Why didn’t I ever say “hey, I wonder if that band has some other stuff?” Beacuse they do. And it is good. Oh, dear, I’m afraid the attraction is deadly. I so need to do so many dirty things to the lead singer of Electric Six. Oh, Oh, My.
Hot Hot Heat: Bounce
Goldfrapp:
I may be slow to get onto these things, but thankfully it means 2-3 albums’ worth of fun for each that I can delve into.
Hey there friends!
This is a nice general update post that Life is pretty darn swell and I’m a lucky summabitch to be livin’ it. Thanks for just being you.
and No, I am completely sober.
Web 2.0 “enabling” the “power of opinion?”
Seriously. Only you care about your bullshit opinion, likes, dislikes, reaction to a talking head daring to have an unscripted moment. Gossip and irrelevant water-cooler tripe.
Usenet style Permanent September driving the Internet? Really? Just what I want is some self-important ignorant retard (besides myself) defining news stories and the direction of technology. Ow my balls indeed.
It’s time for the public to stop reading their own publicity.
I will be in the Greater Seattle area from March 5 – March 9 (well,
Anybody want to hang out? I may already have some stuff planned with a group of Seattle Tiki-philes. I’ll be coming up Sunday afternoon/evening and I plan on going to Fu Kun Wu Sunday night to see my friend Rob spin Exotica. I’ll bet I can get Beatnik and Bohunk out even on that school night.
Wee! Travel.
Wee! LebowskiFest!
I had a different than usual reaction to PLGB when I originally saw Return of the Jedi. I was not aroused in the least, which never allowed me identify with the pop culture representation of the ‘geek’ reaction to PLGB.
What did/do I feel? It was like seeing my sister or something up there, bare, enslaved. I felt empathy for her situation, embarrassment over viewing her so belittled. Also, it was kinda gross. Having Jabba leer over her, Ew. She was not a willing participant in her exposure and so, it was not sexy in the least, it was painful.
So anytime PLGB is brought up in conversation, all I can think is “ew” when it seems all around me voice “wooga wooga.” Who knew even at 11 I already naturally held feminist/humanist ideas?
But Princess Leia? Seriously – ew! (no offense, Carrie – ) but ew, she’s like your sister, man.

I really can’t take too much credit, as I’m following recipies and formulae handed to me from friends and idols, but I must say I’m hitting a high point in my mixology skills.
I’m putting out Polynesian drinks that even I’m impressed with. Mostly from recipes that I didn’t fully understand until now, but also creations of my own. What I need is some discerning mouths to taunt and tease.
The Monkey Hut is open: who wants to imbibe?
…those who love Peter Frampton & The Bee Gees in “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band,” and those who can shut the fuck up about it if they don’t.
That’s right Bitches. It’s Billy Shears and the Henderson Brothers. Can you handle it?
Can you handle it in a baloon?
Don’t get uppity or Billy Preston will zap your ass. Get Back, Loretta!
Was there some kind of sports game televised Yesterday? I was too busy having fun with my Wii to notice. I was watching myself,
My attempt at recreating the “Black Magic” of the Mai-Kai is definitely a success. This will definitely have to go on the menu at Thatch — if I can get them to make and stock espresso syrup and passion fruit syrup. I call mine “Dark Magic” and it’s a keeper: like a Hurricane mixed with overtones of dark coffee. It may sound strange, but the flavour is amazing.
And it’s Monday again.
