The best part about forced remembrance breakfasts is the free pancakes.

The second best part is getting back to your desk with the free pancakes before the forced moment of silence. Score!

The pancakes, however, are from a bad mix and look decent, but taste mediocre. Somehow, quite fitting.

Weekend

So Much Fun this past weekend.

We had a little get-together on Saturday Night at our house for um. “friends of the four-twenty.” ‘s friends Jen, Kevin, Brian, and Chris were there, as was (who is the possesion of ) and our accross the street neighbours.

We had nice drinks, the aformentioned party theme, snacks. Kevin brought a Mocha Mousse Cake from a local cool store (Oliver’s). A fun time was had by all. Great fun.

Sunday saw recouperation and relaxation. Two new pairs of pants and two new shirts as well (were purchased).

Continue to chat with Devin on and offline, there is still so much to talk about.

And getting antsy about Portland. I just want to be there already.

Cheerful

OK,

Who put the NO2 in my coffee? For some inexplicable reason, I am in a nicely cheerful mood this morning, refreshed.
Perhaps I slept a decent amount of hours – I’m very rough on my sleep schedule.
Last weekend news coming up!

Haven’t been this happy in a very long time

I just made contact with Devin, an old dear friend of mine. When last I spoke to him, he had moved to Boston working for American Airlines as a steward, flying to Paris. He has since moved back to Portland (where he moved from). I wish I had contact before our trip last week! But still, since we are headed up there, I’ll get to hang with him again, re-join a good friendship. I have missed him much as a close friend, a gaming buddy, and all-around wonderful fellow.

(does little dance)

Hooray!

Now to get him addicted to LJ. (evil laugh)

Sooo Happy.

Both and have some really great posts for discussion up, everyone should take a look and form discussion/arguments.

Except if you disagree with me, then please don’t post 🙂 JUST KIDDING! 😉

Hm

I have two games now that pull my spare time, and I am enjoying both of them immensly.

Both are on my first console (ok, I did have a NES for 5 days in 1991, gave it away when I got a 386sx pc clone), the Xbox *swoons*

1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: This game is amazing in a playability sense. The game itself isn’t “amazing” in any sense – it follows the Wasteland/Fallout/Baldur’s Gate Bioware model of RPGs. The playability however is breathtaking. I am enjoying myself in RPG ways that I thought were gone! I thought I was too old or out-of-use for RPG games since I didn’t enjoy Baldur’s. The game is just plain fun, and it gets better with playtime. I am up to about 30 hours in and ( for those who are also playing) I am in Manan.

2. Silent Hill 2: Picked up for a song, this older title looked cool because I wanted a fun scary game (this was also due to the influnce of my good friend who also wanted a good scary game). We played it for about 4 or 5 hours Saturday night and only broke off for want of sleep. This game is great and scary and fun. There is a bit in the game that you can tell when the zombies are close due to weird static on a portable radio you have. Oh, and most of game is in the mist, or in dark buildings where you only have a flashlight. FUN. I want to play this game sooo much, but I have to wait for to be available because we have to play it together.

Fun!

I don’t know if I can last 2 more months

I just had to write an email to my CIO that is the corporate equivalent of explaining to him why his face hurts when he puches himself in the face. Oh, and I already months ago said “don’t hit yourself in the face, it will hurt.” Now he asks me “Why does it hurt?”

idiots. I’m surrounded by them.
