OH

Happy Birthday to my old grammar school friend Anthony, wherever he is. He turns 33 today.

Happy Birthday to Walt Disney World, which turns 23 Today.

Whoo Hoo

I’m so proud of Kerry in the debate last night. He successfully rode the line between making GW look too much of a fool (dangerous for the ‘underdog’ compassionate backlash) and not engaging him enough (making him seem smarter).

Perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better performance. He also set the debate, and won on the merits of image (very important whether we like it or not). This debate also was the centerpiece of W’s re-election campaign (security abroad, etc.)

Oh, I certainly hope this was the first of the top cards in W’s house of cards to fall. I suppose we’ll see how worried the GOP is if we get an upgrade in the Terror Alert Level.

Go, Kerry, Go!

In other news, Tonight is the soft-opening of the Haunt, so Heather (still sickly, my poor li’l puffin) and I will be there. Tomorrow night is opening night. I’m quite excited about that.

At work now, Geology lecture was good – getting more interesting now.

Happy weekend everyone! I miss ya!

Thursday

Poor is home sick, work is too busy to get any planning done (ARRRRG), I need to break for lunch and I forgot my damn lunch, which is a delicious Chili/Soup we made last night. Sooo Delicious. Sooo Hungry.

Wednesday Update.

Craig PMS seems to be in full swing.

Geology lecture was a bit boring, as we went over concepts I am quite familiar with – Geologic time, Scientific process, etc.

Feeling like a passenger in the vehicle of my body and life, unable to even make course change requests. It’s irrational and quite unrealistic (inaccurate), but I can’t stop feeling what I’m feeling.

I passed a wonderful sight on the way back to the car park – a farmer’s market where there was a HUGE pile of Oyster mushrooms (big ones too). Looked delicious. I was happy/sad — more like “boy I remember how wonderful that would make me feel.” Strange. It was really the happiness at nostalgia. Disconnected, set in motion, watching things on the shore as I sail by in a fast moving river.

I’m sure the feeling will pass, it usually does. Mostly stress at a busy schedule, I’m sure.

Oh, By The Way, ver 1.0 did it.

I’m now a firefox user.

Finally understand *when* I like tabbed browsing (only when following links in a single page to peruse later) and the lack of a useable google feature (not just search) bar has been supplanted by the “search as you type” function.

Of course, I’m not an IE hater by any stretch of the imagination, so I’m wasn’t really looking for an alternative. I’ll keep em both for a bit and compare and contrast.

Yes, , feel free to say “I told you so!” 😀

I fucking hate EPSON.

And all goddamn operating system software developers that decide to “think” for me, “imagining” what or how I should set up printers, folders, workflows, etc.

I am the user. I fucking tell you how to operate. I TELL COMPUTERS! Do you understand? Computers DON’T tell me. Fucking Epson thinks that when I share it on a host PC that everyone else on the fucking LAN needs to not only have that printer installed, but chosen as the default.

Automatically.

Even when that user already has a printer installed.

And it does it all the time, even after you re-set the default printer or delete the “automatically” added one.

Kali damn them.

Eat my ass, EPSON.

Geology 201

Had my first lecture today. This afternoon is my first lab.

Lecture should be interesting & the class should be quite easy (unfortunately). Have to make sure not to underestimate it. It is beginning geo. Still, it sure is nice to be back at Uni.

At work now, fun! Or something like that.

How was everyone’s weekend? Heather and I ended up working at the Haunt on Sunday (Sorry, ) because there is still so much more to do. Time, time, time. Perhaps I just manage better when I’m being pulled in all directions? Thank goodness for that time management stuff and lists.

Yay for Autumn.

Headin’ out

We’re heading out to do errands and then to the Haunt. More work must be done.

Heather is bringing the sewing machine for costumes and I’m basically filling in wherever I’m needed (awww-yeah).

That’s about it.

Friday

Whew!

I’m a busy little beaver today. Moved a bunch of stuff from the old office to the new.

I also forgot my lunch in the refrigerator at home.

It’s only noonish? Crap! Fridays must go quick.

Tonight will be workin’ at the haunt, as will tomorrow.

Only 1 week left till Baron von Goolo’s goes live. Eeeek!

Autumn is here!

Hooray!

Finally summer is over. Good riddance. Even moving further north hasn’t changed my dislike for the warmer months. Perhaps after a few more Portland winters my opinion may change.

So welcome pumpkins, welcome apples. Cheer caramel and candy. Leaves will fall and winds will blow. Tea and cider will warm the heart and fires will glow on the hearth. Welcome Autumn.

Also, Happy Birthday to !

I hope we get to see Sean of the Dead tonight – I think we have tickets through our Haunt crew group.

Oh, and my character for the Haunt? I think I’m going to be an evil Santa.

“Come sit on my lap, boy! Santa has a package for you!”
