Too Busy to update today!

good weekend, so much stuff planned, etc…

Today the world is trying to conspire against me; placing obstacles, attemting to thwart.

Nice try. I cannot be thwarted or consternated. I resist! Ha! I laugh at your puny attempts.

Friday. Tonight, I bake cheesecake. (I supppose I should check with the host of the pary if our location will allow outside food, though, first, eh?)

Well, off to get through this Friday. Cheers, everyone.

I like Thursdays. It may not be Friday, but It’s really the closest thing to it.
Thursday means only one more early morning.
With only one early morning left, it sure seems like easy sliding into the weekend.

Just had a brilliant idea for a xmas cocktail party. If agrees, I can funnel my seemigly impotent creative energies into it. I have actually started to do this anyway.

I don’t care if it isn’t Thanksgiving yet, I’m starting my Xmas early.

I used to be semi at odds with Halloween and Christmas. I adore Halloween. Many fellow Halloween lovers quite echew Christmas, seeing it as a dualistic argument: If you like Halloween, Christmas is your enemy.
This no doubt comes from the fact that when Halloween ends (sniff, nothing sadder than Nov. 1), Christmas quickly replaces it in stores (and sometimes before Oct. 31). So Christmas is an easy target for my fellow dour Halloween lovers. Plus all the saccharine Jean Tisdales love Christmas, which doesn’t help.

Well, I don’t care who knows it. I love Christmas and that’s that. I aslo choose to call it Christmas even though I’m an atheist. I’m not frightened by Christ. I also like Xmas as an abbreviation (but that’s because I like the letter X).

I’m rambling without a point here, which I suppose is the point of a Journal, so I won’t apologize.

So There.

Oh, Yeah. Xmas can be just as dark and naughty as Halloween. Just because the fluffy headed ones like their angels on Christmas doesn’t mean it has to be fluffy headed. Me? I have Black Peter, Ruprecht, and Good Ol’ Krampus. Stuff their stupid angels.

I swear there is some kind of creative monster in my dying to escape.

I daydream around sites like www.fontdiner.com and www.houseindustries.com – I lust after magazines such wallpaper*. Music percolates through my mind. Colours gad about.

Why do I not produce?

I feel like a writer with 32 years of writers block, staring at the blank page of future.

I think I don’t know where to start; I think I don’t know what to do.

It is almost that the vector of my creativity has not yet been discovered.

Or perhaps I’m a daydreamer and far too lazy.

I remember I was going to post something:

Not much to report here yet.

Except that I made Mac’n’Cheese last night from scratch in ~30mins.

I made my first bechamel sauce, then added a bit of curry and a mix of medium/sharp cheddar.

Very yummy, and enough for lunch for both and myself. I can’t wait ’till noon!

Mondays are tough.

Insurance companies continue to gouge us, Heating Oil costs have doubled which means broke broke broke.
Perhaps it is time to look for a 2nd job? Most people here have 2 jobs, I suppose it is a requirement in our lovely economy.
It really doesn’t help that >50% of americans would rather say they don’t like fags than to help fix it.

I could also look for a more corporate job – that could solve money issues; that also cancels any idea of going to school to finish the BS.

The answer really may have to lie in moving to a smaller house or an apartment and selling our car (car pmt+insurance is ~$600/mo)

Blah.

I belive that Homophobia is equal to racsim*, in and of every entire single way. This is a core moral value of mine, and I believe it needs to be spread.It is based on my belief of universal equality to all humankind.

How can we move this value into the mainstream? How can we make homophobia as taboo as racism?

Any Ideas?

(Oh, and if you disagree with me about this core value, I’m glad you have an opinion. This post is not about that, it presupposes for the sake of discussion this value. Please post elswhere or in your own journal, thanks. Off-topic or flame-worthy posts will be deleted.)

There is a grave issue confronting this counrty. There is a great threat confronting each and everyone of us here.

It is not terrorism. (duh.) It is not corporate control. It is not this administration (directly).

It is about 50% of our own populace.

If you voted for Bush YOU ARE THE ENEMY.
If you are religiously fundamentalist YOU ARE THE ENEMY.
If you are more concerned about homosexualism than the nature of the rights of man YOU ARE THE ENEMY.

You are the enemy and you are wrong. Capital W wrong. I don’t believe in absolute right and wrong, but you are the fucking closest to it that is possible in this current reality. You are EVIL.

And I love you. I have compassion for you, because you are mislead, ignorant, unenlightened.

Hubris? YOU BET THE FUCK IT’S HUBRIS You can come and suck on my hubris. Platitudes are for pussies.

These people do not understand nuance. These people only understand black and white, so we must let them know that while we may chat amongst ourselves about their dark grey qualities, let them know that in their language, they wear the black hats.

They are the “bad guy”.

There is a cultural war going on and they are on the Wrong side. Their side is that of slavery. Their side is that of Jim Crow laws. Their side is that of Homophobia. Their side is that of fundamentalism. Their side is that of sexism. They are WRONG.

Wrong for this country, wrong for this world, wrong for civilization, wrong for their own good.

And I love them.

They deserve to be treated with respect and any human in this world does. They deserve peace and happiness and equality like any human in this world does.

And though I am an atheist, I will love the sinner.

I ABHOR THE SIN.

And I will not stand idly by as my country succumbs to their sin and degredation.

I will go down fighting. Peacibly and lawfully at first. And then peacefully and civil disobediently second.

I will not be cowed.

I will not be marginalized.

I will not give in to despair.

My country thinks it can wield Tolkien’s Ring without turning evil and already too many people are under its sway.

So what can we do?

We must reach out to our fellow man; reach our brainwashed and hoodwinked fellow americans and bring them to the good side.

We must recruit new members into our real world, into the enlightened good side to fight against the darkness.

We MUST call a spade a spade and when we meet evil name it as evil.

For instance, if you voted yes on 36 and you are christian? You voted with the devil. You have sinned in the eyes of your lord. (even though I don’t believe in him). He will forgive you, but you have been fooled by the devil. It’s simple.

Speak in their language; Love them; bring them to our side.

And if they do not come? Leave them to rot in their hell.

The world moves on and I with it. I will continue to love my enemies and have compassion for all.

However, I will not pretend that those who choose to follow an evil path should not be told or counselled against their evil.

The Culture War has started and I am on the side of light. And I will fight to my last breath for equality, knowledge, elightenment and freedom.
