It’s rare Schadenfreude when I can witness gutless wonders bitch about their low milage cars and gas prices. I can think to myself, Go UP! Go UP! Make Jethro pay $50.00 to fill his piece of shit! It’s so fun to make Jethro mad!

I wish gas prices would go up to $20 a gallon.
I’d pay $200 to fill my gas tank for the sake of watching Escalade drivers paying $500 to fill theirs.
Think of how much good it would do. SUVs would become utterly impossible for most people to afford, gas alone would cost them more than the car payment on a fuel-efficient car. Public transportation would get a huge boost, hybrids and bio-diesel would become insanely popular overnight, manufacturers would be scrambling to make and develop the most fuel-efficient and best alternative fuel vehicles they could, and there would be a US market for those teeny little European cars I think are so adorable. Air pollution and global warming would be greatly decreased, traffic congestion would be somewhat lessened…
Too bad it won’t happen any time soon.
I know, I so want a Peugeot if I can’t have Pria.
The french vote to raise their gas tax pretty much every year, to try to cut back on inefficient car use and thus protect the environment. But as far as I can tell it just makes them feel less guilty about driving since they’re already doing the penance of paying through the nose for it.

While I find this amusing I would like to point out that the official name for the military actoin is Operatin Iraqi Freedom. Though I’m sure Operation Iraqi Liberation may have been discussed until someone realized what it spelled 🙂 *hugs*
