Metreon was being a super bitch, and I was jonseing for tickets because I CANNOT MISS THIS.
So I bought tickets for the Sacramento Showing. I bought 10 tickets, and here is the list of people I presumed to be buying for. In case you don’t want to go to SAC, thass cool, I’ll sell the tix, sure they’ll be sellable! 😀
BTW, The tickets come to $26.00 each.

These tickets are just plain tickets and do not include either the “hobbit snack” (extra $15) or the “Orc Feast” (extra $25).
For those who don’t know what the hell I’m talking about:

I assume you are talking about The Lord of the Rings?
I bought another pair for and Boy, since she is currently making my lunch so I can’t make her do it. 😛

YES! 10 ticket limit suxors!
hobbit snack? Frankly, the hobbits feasted far more heartily than the orcs ever did. Hell, I can remember one point in the movies (would have to look in the books again, the torture :P) where the orcs were battling each other for scraps!
Where’s my Oliphaunt Fiesta? Or Dwarven Dinner? Vegan Valar Value? Baggins Buffet? Elvish Edibles? The Meat of Men? Beorn’s Honey-pot? Kettle-Corn of Khazad-dum? Helm’s Deep Hot Dogs? Numenorian Nachos?
They can be all found at Manwe’s Market, In Illuvitar, Eruland.
And now I hear the Metreon has finally figured it out. MotherFuckers.
You are soooooooooo lucky… AMC’s site has been down since 10AM (it’s now 1:30PM) and I still don’t have tix. They have a limit of $120 so that means that 4 $30 tickets puts you over the limit because of the service charge. So the de facto limit is three. Three!!!!
This sucks so bad.
Right on, Cute!
Yay! Hooray! Yippee! Woo Hoo!
Thank you!
Sigh. Tix are sold out here, and I do not have the time to dig around much right now 🙁
We’ll likely have extra tickets, perhaps a visit?
Dude that sucks cheeze through dirty burlap.
Fukkin-A
It’s now 2:36 and still they are down.
My advice from Customer Service was “Stay online until it gets fixed”.
I want to kill someone.
Who loves ya, baby?
I think though, that is the size of the food that they mean. Hobbit-sized meal (though really, come ON the top food item should be a Hobbit-feast, eh?
I finally got my tickets at 4PM, after only six hours online battling with the stupid AMC MovieTickets site…
It ended when someone on http://www.theonering.net posted a message that the theater’s customer service line was taking ticket orders over the phone… I frantically called, amazingly got through on the first try and bought myself six tickets (for myself, Catherine,, , & Sara).
Yay!!!!!!!
Awwww Yeah
OK, I am seriously contemplating this as a personal reward for getting a PhD. Tuesday December 16th, right? I think I could take off for a day or three. The next question is then, how do I get to your neck of the woods? Closest airport? Suggestions?
SFO or Oakland. Jetblue is cheap, from what I understand, not sure of its schedule. If C or H won’t pick you up, I will. If not anyone, there’s a shuttle that runs from either directly to P-town. There’s always a ride.
Visitors are fun!
You STAY AWAY! I’m picking him up! GRRRRR!
😀
heh
It all hinges on the possibility of me getting a ticket, of course. But the whole idea of a pilgrimage to CA just the see the whole Trilogy in One Day is strangely exciting, so I will be checking plane tickets over the weekend.
You were so right with your comment about popularity contests a few days back 😀
