Monday, Monday: and weekend update. I don’t feel like cutting; sorry friends lists.

So, over the weekend a good number of laptops taken from work here. And yes, one of those was mine.

Fun!

That mixed with the new so comfy sheets that I had to leave this morning make a Monday alright.

Weekend fun, though:

Friday night was boring as everyone had something to do but me. Luckily, Civilization III can console like a champ.

Saturday we went to the company (H-dawg’s) screening of “Love Actually.” Fun, great movie. It put us straight in a Christmas mood, so screw waiting until Thanksgiving, We’re starting celebrating/decorating NOW. The rest of the day saw us going to IKEA to plan out our new space in the Portland House, then a stop at Toys R Us and borders saw me purchase the LOTR movie trivial pursuit. Dissapointment – knew it was going to be a bit of one. At least everyone won’t have to gang up on me when we answer questions like “Where did Faramir offer to go in Boromir’s stead,” anyone can play.

Sunday morning was a bit of a sleep in (yay), then we were off to see “Elf.”
I don’t know if the previous day’s movie put me in Holiday Vulnerable mode because I enjoyed Elf like I haven’t enjoyed a movie in a long, long, long fucking time. I was giddy like a child! I weeped through the enitre thing, teary over the sheer brilliance and sincerity. I swear it was like a 40-yr-old Houswife on PMS tearing up over a long distance telephone commerical during the commercial break between showcase showdowns. So I’m needing to see that again. Fucking Tonight.

Sunday night and came over and we had some quality hanging time. We made Tom & Jerrys (a little heavy on the Jerry) and they were deeelicious. I love me good T&J.

So yeah, Christmas is coming and you can’t make me stop singing carols. So there.

  1. I thought of you when I saw the LOTR Trivial Pursuit. Are there book questions, or just movie minutiae?

  2. Mostly movie minutiae, which is especially strange when it contradicts canon (in favour of movie re-working). Still fun in a shiny way though.

I’ll have to pickup the other Tolkien trivia game: hopefully it will be more academic.

Yeah. I just watched Armageddon again. Same thing happened here.

  4. We went to Elf last night! You were spot on! Every scene was perfect!

I felt bad for the people around me during the escalator scene, I was dying laughing before it was even half through.

    Wow, just wow.
