Finished the last coat of ceiling paint last night. The gold dust in the paint adds a subtle effect: In darkness with candle light, there is a lovely shimmer. In light the blue shows through, but at an angle, you see a ghosted gold shimmer and light. I love it.
Tonight we’ll start to put up some of the reedcane fencing. I picked up the paper roll of Tapa Cloth to form the wainscotting at the bottom of the wall. The bamboo chair rail and panel separators are already split, ready to use.
I think we may be ready to decorate and move in furniture this weekend.
So EXITED. TIKI ROOM APPROACHING. 😀 can I get a “w00t?”
In other news, loving my new job.
In other news, need more time to level up my City of Heroes character so I’m the same level as my other friends.
Um, Yeah that’s all I can think of.
I can’t wait to see this, either in photos or in person (I imagine A will happen sooner).
Well, when you get to SF, Portland is ~10hr drive, and it is sure worth it.
Or a ~$100 air fare.
Pics soon. (MUST CHARGE DIGITAL CAMERA!)
The ceiling paint sounds very cool! Glad the new job is going well, I hope it continues that way.
w00t. And happy birthday!!
Hope to see you and Heather next weekend on the Tiki Tour!
Are you doing the full one? If so, you’ll see the tiki bar in person. Our house is the 3rd stop on the 2nd night.
Hmmm. I expect to be thinning out the grove of black bamboo in my front yard this weekend. You want some of it? Some of the poles will be 18′ high and maybe 1.5″ in diameter, but I could cut them to a reasonable shipping size.
Just in case you are interested.
Tiki Room sounds fantastic!
And happy late birthday!
Wow, that would be cool, but I don’t know how much shipping would cost or if we could afford it…
I want to plant some bamboo myself.
Tank ooo!
who have absolutely no ability to picture things in our heads I think photos are in order.
