So what is the best way to prepare for a 4.75mi race where you drag a shopping cart stopping at 4 bars along the way?
Apparently, it should not be “do nothing,” because that doesn’t work out so well. I can walk ok, but with a silly limp (right foot). My legs may decide to forgive me at some point, I hope. Oh – also: Wear running shoes. It was a great deal of fun, but ouch.

On Sunday we went to brunch at this groovy place called “gravy” up on Mississippi in N. Portland. Yum. We met some LJ friends (
After 1 neighborhood, I had to call it quits due to both the state of my aching foot and that we had another party to attend later and I’d need use of my legs.
It was our friend Mark’s Birthday so we met him and friends at Hollywood Bowl for bowling. I couldn’t bowl so I sat and watched which was just as fun anyway.

I wish I was in a better state on Sunday – the rest of the walk looked like fun. 🙁
p.s. the pain in the foot is now just soreness! 😀
You know, the beer really dulls the pain enough for you to seriously over-do and screw yourself up.
It was fun, though.
