People keep wanting to talk to me about who gets the blame – my answer (which seems to shut them up handily) is that there were HUNDREDS of moments in which this person could have been turned from this path, so the blame has plenty of places to spread out. Start from birth, go from there.

I disagree with the “Streets will run with blood” line of thinking. Opponents of Concealed Carry said the same thing during the post Killeen Luby’s push for CCW, but it has not come to pass.
When the AWB was getting ready to expire, dire predictions were made, but in the 2.5 years since it expired, that has not happened.
To be fair, the bill which was recently defeated was to allow specifically trained, screened faculty carry firearms, not all the students.
Some school shootings have been mitigated by students or teachers intervening.
