Pumpkin Pie “Martini”
———————–
1/2 oz Pumpkin Pie Spiced Syrup*
1/2 oz Egg Nog
1 oz Vanilla Vodka
1 oz Vodka
Shake with crushed ice and pour into cocktail glass rimmed with graham cracker crumbs.
You can purchase a pumpkin pie syrup if you wish – I find these to be vile, but I’m a huge flavor snob – YMMV

3 Cinnamon Sticks, broken
4 Cloves
2 Tbsp Allspice

I love you, man, but if you keep using the word “martini” around shit like that I’m going to have to stuff half a dozen shattered gin bottle up your ass with a Volkswagen. I’m just sayin’.
It’s spelled Martini, but it is pronounced “luxury yacht.”
I agree with your sentiment, but disagree on signficance. Besides, can anything with Vodka in it truly be a Martini?
Perhaps if I put one of those irony marks after Martini?
Of course you know the difference! Everyone knows you know your booze. The rubes’ll won’t know that your undoubtedly yummy concoction has nothing at all to do with a martini! Maybe some quote marks around the word?
The irony mark is evil.
Ahhh, corruptible English!
Origin vs. modern affectations. Which is the true definition? It’s in the eye of the beholder baby.
I blame both James Bond, and Woody Allen.
I’ll do the quote marks. That’s a great solution, as I’m just repeating some other rube’s nonsense. Good call.
by the way, thanks for ignoring my mangling of the language. I’ve been awake just a wee bit too long.
A vodka martini is not a martini, it is a vodka martini. See, words can be used as modifiers! Thus a Pumpkin Pie Martini is just that. A martini is gin. An X Martini is whatever the X is.
We really need a better group term. Nitiram? Initram?
I suppose Pumpkin Pie Cocktail could be used? Or just a “Pumpkin Pie?”
Which make me wonder, if the cosmopolitan were invented recently, would it be a Cranberry Lime Orangetini? I shudder to think.
oh. my. goodness.
this must be imbibed. by me. right now.
