I chuckled to myself about a new search engine – I mean, is there anything other than Google?

Check out the image search – I have been getting better, more acurate hits than Google’s image search, and the scalable thumbnails are a big hit.
Nice. Fight it out, you guys! We all win in this battle.
It wouldn’t finish loading, even after ten minutes. Like all things Microsoft, slow, and unusable.
It is a bit slow, but it found my holy grail of image searches–the Cary Grant and Randolph Scott in the pool! Thanks!
You iTard, you. So cute with the delusions!
Yeah, the thumbnail previews are awesome (the same controller is in Vista). It’s nice to have multiple resources.
That’s actually kind of cool… I like how you don’t have to keep cycling through page after page, it loads a ton of images on one page. The scalable thumbnails do, in fact, rock.
Thanks for the heads-up!
Yes, cute indeed…… But it will won’t load. perhaps I need some kind of plugin.
I like the user icon, looks kind of “secret service”.
hmm, no, it doesn’t work in Safari. Not a delusion, dear, an observation.
It works in Firefox okay. Do I understand correctly, are you saying that we should be pushing for alternatives to google? ’cause if so, I am confused as to why you would characterize anything made by the largest software retailer in the cosmos as ‘alternative’ to anything. 😉 or perhaps i’m just sleepy?
that said, I kinda like it.
It doesn’t work.
Interesting. I like it when two Goliaths compete for my business. The live search page seems to be exclusively written for Windows-based PCs. I don’t like that since my primary computer at work is a Mac. When I went home and played around with it I found it to be buggy and sort of weird but it’s interesting how far .net can go to making a robust application right in your browser.
I still vastly prefer Google search (and their little tools) and Google mail to anything Microsoft has to offer.
Google is bigger than Microsoft.
There, I said it.
Therefore, yes, it is an alternative.
And I have had bouts of it working and not working myself on Firefox.
Well, it does for me 🙂
And that’s all that matters.
Who wouldn’t? (to the last statement.)
I love the prettyness of the image search (and the tie-in with Vista thumbnailing)
Yeah, the presentation of image search results I like far better than Google image search. It’s refreshing to see some innovation
I do dig the scalable thumbnails. =)
All kinds of shit doesn’t work in Safari so I am not surprised. I still like it better than Exploder though, and marginally better than firefox. (Because of an iTarded Apple thing I have to use both browsers as their many-levels-secure ordering system is cookiebased and I have to have a different cookie for each shipping location when I order books. DURRRRRRRRRR)
Did you know that Steve Jobs is now the majority shareholder at Disney? =)
reports are non-functionality with Safari. Heh. 😀
Not that I’m having 100% success with Firefox, myself.
Internet Explorer = teh lose anymore. God, I hate having to go to IE to get some bullshit activeX crap to work.
I double-install Firefox on all our Macs here so there is a consistant browser (firefox on all the XP boxes as well.)
And yes I know about Mr. Jobs at disney =) =) — THANK ZEUS!
Even better than that, John Lasseter is the supreme overall creative director for Disney. SUCH GOOD NEWS for disneyphiles such as myself. Somone with some frickin’ creative integrity in a position of power (and the balls/s.jobs to back him up?) I think I’ll cry tears of joy. =) =) =)
