Christmas fun

For Christmas, we adopted an orphaned eight-year-old Chihuahua.

I give to you “Sir Percival Elton von Budgerigar I”

Woof!

He’s a sweetie: He is housetrained, polite, & cuddly. We decided to call him either “Budgie” or “Sir.”

  1. Ah! I see. The long coats are adorable, I don’t think I’ve seen too many of them.
That’s so cool you guys saved a ‘problem child’ too. It’s to bad about him being less desirable because he nipped. That’s just how some quadrupeds communicate. Yay for you guys giving him a second chance!

  2. Yeah, it’s cool that they transferred him to a private rescue rather than euthanizing. So far he hasn’t been nippy (and, seriously, his mouth it so small!) but his body language is VERY clear when he’s uncomfortable. If I were that small I’d be defensive about being picked up, too!

  3. The important question – how does he get along with the cats? (And are the cats voicing displeasure by “thinking outside the box”?)

  4. His first name is still Percival, so you can call him “Percy” as well. Even Elton if you want to go by his middle name.

Sir Budgerigar if you are being formal.

  5. He’s fine with the cats. Fenny is pissed (she so enjoys being pissed, the little whiner). LuLu is concerned, but curious.

I sense all will be well in the house soon enough.

  6. HOT! I can’t wait to meet him. You should bring him over to my house after he’s settled in. Then he can jump up on the furniture and intimidate the hell out of my dogs. =)

  7. Your puppy is adorable. Can’t wait to meet him. Miss you guys.

Have fun with B&S- wish I could join y’all..
