It’s a snow day here at Mathom House. We had a surprise snow storm yesterday afternoon. While the rest of Portland is thawing, here in Troutdale we still have freezing rain.
It is gorgeous outside. We’re making cookies and enjoying the day.
Here’s the view from the front door:
Mele Kalikimaka Indeed.
Mhhh, cookies!
Are you bringing cookies ???
Moreover are you bringing me VooDoo Donuts ?????
Have you been a good girl this year? Santa might bring you a maple-bacon bar!
Sure – Heather should bring the Voodoo so they are fresh.
Stay tuned for ingredient list for Xmas.
Here is what I would like to make:
Egg Nog
Buche de Noel
Meringue Mushrooms
here we now have icky slippery slush =(
What about a
1) eggnogg cheesecake or a croque en boche ?
We need to figure out a desert for xmas eve or xmas…
I have been especially naughty- so bring a dozen !!!
Oh yeah – Croque!
I’ll get the ingredient list together
There is something interestingly counter-intuitive to a restful, tiki, snowy scene.
I liked the dichotomy.
Ah, tiki in snow. Beautiful!
I was so excited to see snow on ours but didn’t have a chance to get pictures.
Is yours sealed or oiled? I’m a little concerned about our unsealed/oiled ones in the constant wet.
(btw, found you thru DP awhile back, hope you don’t mind I added you and your Mrs.!)
Ours is safe due it being made entirely of pink insulation foam covered in exterior housepaint. 😀
And don’t mind being added one bit. Added y’all back, too.
Foam and house paint? Awesome! There’s a few artists in LA who use automotive paints. Those always looked amazing! I’ve been meaning to get one at the shows/bizaars but then spend all my $ on a wood one that I make my poor Hunny lug around. The foam gives me a great idea for making a volcano for our tiki bar to be tho!
