Happy Birthday to the King of the Internet,
Some Pics taken in the last few weeks:
Happy Birthday to
I’m sorry I couldn’t get shit together enough to make it more special for you. 🙁
We saw “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” on Sunday. The projector had difficulty with lenses and focusing so the whole movie had forced depth of field due to strange focus issues. We chose to stay and watch it anway. I loved it – I was happy to see that the only compromize was the addition of a formulaic lost-love movie style arc. I didn’t mind that as every actor was spot-on and lovely.
I also realized how much I miss the Jim Henson creature shop. How a bout a Labyrinth 2? Jennifer C’s career can’t be all good with her staring in crap schlock horror (“dark water”), and bowie could throw one out. I see “Drop dead fred” meets the TV series “Beauty and the Beast.”
Also, when our friend
Need to see Hitchhiker’s again though, this time in focus (and for free: we got free tickets for our troubles).
Ajai Raj: My fucking hero.

Hello everyone!
I’ve been busy with work and projects lately and I’ve also been limiting my online time so I can be more productive at work. It has paid off.
At work in in the niche I want to be and there is money to purchase the equipment I need to better administer a real infrastructure (finally). The Tiki Crawl is in full gear and rolling along quite nicely. I’ll be writing music (intro/outro) for a friend’s TV pilot he is working on. Plus, Spring is looking lovely here in Portland, the best little city in all the world. (I’m a bit biased.)
To top it off, I got a haircut on the way home last night. Next weekend we’ll be in L.A. for the Erasure show and other fun (Thanks, Cindy!).
So, things are looking up and I’m savoring the moment.
Your Houses finished on gluttony — you want that I should queue up some more (like the episode we missed?)

Mark & Maggie are inviting us for a group LOST viewing at their place tonight…
I think those are all — if I missed someone (this weekend has been crazy) please let me know and I’ll finish up! 😀

1.) As far as people go, do you tend to have certain “types” that you find irresistably attractive (and I mean this in the sense of finding compelling friendships as well as the more racy stuff) or are you more of a global appreciator?
The ability to separate one’s self from one’s opinions I find extremely attractive. Intellectualism (that is not conceited or egotistical) I also find attractive. Most attractive are those who have a quick wit and combine those two into a wry semi-self deprecating humility. It makes a strong connection with me. Other than that I find I can usually be a global appreciator, but those who I connect with usually stick around with me longer as friends: The compassionate and understanding.
2) Tell me about your first love.
Person or concept? I don’t really “believe” in love per se: I mean, it’s this complex concept/phenomena. As I describe it, I can List some of my loves, but they do tie so closely into obsession. To keep it simple, I’ll list people and ideas (in semi-chronological order):
Disney
Disneyland
Ireland
Irish Gaelic
Celitcism
Paganism
Bach
Baroque Music
Cooking
Tolkien
Mixology
Portland
3) Was there a specific event that lead to your understanding your bisexuality? If so, what was it?
You know, I can’t really think of any – When I do think about it backwards, I can connect pieces, like “oh, yes, I did have a crush on Rick Schroeder – Ah, so *that’s* why I loved “stand by me”, etc. But a defining moment of epiphany eludes me. I should also add I never went through any strong phases of self-denial. For a long time I was outwardly asexual (as I never thought I would have any relationship with another person), but interanally very accepting of my private sexuality.
4) Do you have a fetish? If so what is it?
The only thing approaching a fetish would be my fondness for money shots and all that they produce. Not really a fetish though.
5) What do you think is the biggest challenge in your primary relationship?
The constant analyzing of trying to know and understand mypartner as to anticipate her needs, wants, desires, and reasoning. Working on communication to avoid second-guessing or falsely interpeting vague or ambiguous messages.
And the biggest challenge is treating my partner as I wish to be treated; fighting selfishness and egotism.

1) i know that you are physically bi-sexual, but on an emotional level are there different kinds of things you get from women than you do from men?
I don’t think so. I used to think that – that I could only find emotional support from a woman but meeting
2) what made you leave san francisco?
The bay area was becoming too much like L.A. We never could have afforded to purchase a house anywhere near the level of community we wanted (and maintain our lifestyle); I was tired of being that far from a cultural center (we lived in Petaluma). Change was moving in, so we moved out.
3) you mention that you do not believe in god(s). do you believe in spirituality and if so, how do you define it?
I only belive in spirituality as a human concept; much like “freedom” or “love” or “Santa Claus.” I understand the human emotion of feeling “in-tune” with the world around you: it can be produced through many different methods: Prayer, Fasting, Drugs, Hiking — there is a “god” section of the brain – this has helped and harm us to varying degrees throughout the developement of our species. This doesn’t follow for me that God exisits; just as I don’t believe Love exisits as an external concept or one to use as judgement like you would something physical. That is, to treat these ephemeral abstract concepts as a concrete is an anethma to me. For instance, I experience ‘sprirual’ moments while camping, listening to or playing music, during sex, smoking out, etc. I personally do not expand those outside of my own grey matter, though – it’s all in my head.
4) just for fun, the ever ethical question: if you could go back in time and kill Hitler before he rose to power, would you?
Nope. Ends never justify means because the outcome of complex interactions like this are unknowable: Killing Hitler may lead to worse suffereing, for example. Since the wise do not know all ends, the correct choice for me is do always do the “right” thing, ignoring any “possible” outcome (within reason, etc.). I do not kill (unless directly forced with a decision of self-survivial, I’m sure) so Hitler lives. (If that sucker came at me with knife though, I’d pop a cap in his ass.)
5) what is your ideal “type” if any? if no specific type, than a recurring fantasy model.
Male: Floppy Short hair, Stocky, Large hands and Eyes. Think “puppy.” Any of those Hobbits would do quite nicely.
Female: Strong Features, strong attitude, opinionated, tomboyish, forthright, steadfast. Think the bride (Uma) from Kill Bill.
