First 2 Interviews

I’m forgoing the whole meme part (it’s really getting long in the tooth now) but if you do want an interview, I’m happy to oblige.

Robkaiote:

1.) What do you miss most about the Bay area now that you’re no longer in it? What do you miss least about living here?

I most miss first my friends who still live there, old and new. Next I miss the castro. There is no third nor other things to miss. I miss least the creeping rat-race non-community-minded car-driving culture that is slowly consuming it from the south to the north. The bay area is slowly becoming L.A. The disease is spreading and I’m trying to get away from it.

2.) How did you and your lovely wife meet and end up together?

Heather and I met through my high-school friend . They had a college course together where she met Heather and her friend Leslie. Heather and Leslie hosted “Star Trek” nights with their group of friends and invited to come by. in turn invited me to come with and meet the pack of them. We would meet and hang out on Mondays watching the Next Gen series (I grew fond of it only through this group – Still a TOS trekker) and fell in with the group. There’s more funny stories in there – I’ll write up about pears being left in my car, hair braiding, unaware craigs and such in other entries. Should make for a fun story.

3.) What’s your dream job? Dream life?

Dream Job? Not working. (or working on creative interests). Dream life? I’m living it now: Lucky Me. 😉 Well, I suppose I could use a bit more of a financial cusion for following creative interests, but without the challenge, what art could I produce? I am the man I wanted to be when I grew up. Minus a few pounds here and there, naturally.

4.) Let’s throw it on the table – are you guys planning on exercising the procreative option? Nosy people always want to know the answer to that question…

We may be; It seems looming on the horizon lately. Our children will likely hate us though – we’re going to be “old people” parents!

5.) What do you find attractive in a woman? In a man?

Well, that’s a large issue — ultimately, the ability to separate one’s self from mundanities through humour, humility, and wry-self deprecation are very attractive. Fun-loving and self-reliance are also attractive. A nice ass and kind eyes and I’m gone.

Gabeysf:

1. Best orgasm. (Yeah, I’m a horny motherfucker.)

Well, they are all damn good. I don’t know if I can think of a ‘best,’ but amongst the best are those that arrive after a nice long slow BJ. They ones that make my toes curl and go numb. Best served after a lovely relaxing bowl of nature’s green kindness.

2. Most interesting thing that’s happened to you on a road trip.

Heather and I went to “Tiki Oasis 2002” in Palm Springs and didn’t really have that much fun – they people there were boring and just average drunkards who just happened apon “tiki,” etc. Also it was a 3-day affair that rolled up sunday morning. (they should have made it a 2-day affair. So with a flight back to the bay area on Monday morning from ontario airport, party gone sour on sunday morning and a rented range rover with a GPS, Heather and I decided to do the only sensible thing: VEGAS, BABY! We drove to vegas, made reservations at the aladin on the way, and drank & partied all night with one of the only fun people at Tiki Oasis (who happened to live in LV). We got in at about 9pm, were out till `4 AM, slept till 7, got up, drove back to Ontario and flew home. —-Good Times—-

3. Pick a major decision you made in the past and tell me how you think your life would have turned out if you had made a different decision then.

Well, in 2001 I was out of work having the dot-com I worked for in SF crash and burn and was desparate for employment. I had just been hired at Fair Isaac and got an interview at PIXAR. I chose to decline the interview and stayed at Fair Isaac. Had I gone to PIXAR, I would have likely become a bigger wage-slave, spent less time at home, possibly moved to the city or east bay (Heather was at lucasfilm then). I don’t know how it would have turned out, but I look at the seeming success of that compared with where I am now and I consider it missing a bullet. (though perhaps a decpetively attractive bullet, a bullet none-the-less: because both H and I were unhappy in our jobs and had early mid-life-cris

4. Any fetishes? 😉

Money Shots. Though a fondness, not really a fetish. Oh and hipbones and nice asses. Not fetshes though. So – no fetishes yet.

5. Who inspired you growing up?
Mythmakers: I had a fondness for Hans Christian Anderson, Steven Spielberg, Star Trek (TOS reruns on the local station), Walt Disney (and Disneyland, my #1 obsession for a LONG time), which turned into a Tolkien inspiration in late High School.
