- For once, I think I have the hang of a Thursday. Of course it is the morning, and very few people are in the office. I suppose I am likely jinxing myself for another grueling disjointed day (yesterday was such a day). I shall perservere!
- The problem with having a short haircut is that maintenance has a shorter life cycle. I need a trim like nobody’s business. Hopefully we can spare the $15 at Bishops so I can look sharp for next weekend’s San Francisco events.

made a schizo MacNCheese last night: a from scratch bechamel with Velveeta-type cheese to finish. It was, of course, delicious (oh yes, it included bacon and broccoli.) - The new Queens of the Stone Age album rocks my happy little world. Absofrickinglutely it does. Yes, sir. Josh Homme can call me.

Hey monkey how’s it going today? I hope your lunch was OK!

In other news (work-related): I hate band-aids (in an IT solution sense). They come back to bite you in the ass eventually. But what else can one do when one doesn’t have the resources to properly solve a problem? A band-aid. It does give more resources to the issues than actually need it. Crap.

So, after looking at the weekend pics so far, last night I decided to shave off the chin hair. Only the sideburns are left (they aren’t going anywhere soon). Now my chin feels more sensitive than the skin around it, and is relatively colder.
It is nice to see my chin again.
Snarkity Snark Snark
So I wanted to chat about the rolling up of the evening and the party and such:

And the accusation of my being non-PC (which I’m proud of, actually, in a sense, etc.)
Bitch on!
So we know who is listening
This is who is in this filter:

Hello there, this is the cattiness/bitchyness/gossip/snarky filter. If you can see this, you’re in it. If you want out, just let me know.

Heather and I rolled into the driveway last night/this morning at half-past midnight.
Ignoring the 10-hour drive, the weekend getaway was amazingly successful and fun.
On Friday we left the house at 6am, arrivied in the northern bay area around 6pm – we meandered our way down. We eventually found our way to
Saturday we rose and breakfasted with
Party arrived and fun was had. Everyone was great. I need to quickly add a Mojito to my specialities – I made a few pretty crappy ones. There’s more to go on about that I won’t do here and now, it really deserves a post of its own (and a filtered group!). Smashing. It was fab to meet everyone face-to-face; it makes the gossip and the cast of characters much easier to follow now. 😉
Sunday we had a little going-away brunch at Halley’s in Petaluma (fried plantains, yum) and we came back to Portland.
Despite the most excelent people in the bay, I came back to portland with a firmer resolve about the choice to leave. I’m thrilled to be home.
Happy Drinking Day!
Or as I like to call it, “Thursday.”
My latent Celtophile wakes up a bit on this day, so let me have this chance to say something Irish to you all:
Póg mo thón!
