Hooray!
Finally summer is over. Good riddance. Even moving further north hasn’t changed my dislike for the warmer months. Perhaps after a few more Portland winters my opinion may change.
So welcome pumpkins, welcome apples. Cheer caramel and candy. Leaves will fall and winds will blow. Tea and cider will warm the heart and fires will glow on the hearth. Welcome Autumn.

Oh, and my character for the Haunt? I think I’m going to be an evil Santa.

I had not realized until this summer started ending that my favorite month now seems to be fall. I don’t know if it’s because Portland starts to get wet and Portlandy then, or if it’s because I moved here in October, and so fall seems like happy beginnings, or what, but I know I’ll be glad when this 70-degree bullshit week we are having now ends and we can have some honest-to-goodness crappy fall weather.
And yeah, cider’s cool, too.
Santa has a package for everyone. Santa’s really a tramp, is my theory. What’s Mrs. Claus going as?
She will be a Zombie Nun. A Zombie Nun teaching class.
Oh, I like that. I hope you guys get to see Shaun tonight, but don’t tell me anything important about it! We have our tickets for tomorrow, at which time I’ll get to meet the podling’s boyfriend. That sounds funny.
