Poo

Feeling tired and cranky and fed-up with red tape and such.

Taking it one day at a time.

When will someone attack and destroy the insurance industry? Filty thieves, the lot of them.

I (still) Blame W. (and to a degree Clinton)

I wants me some good old coporate regulation! Socialsm, you say? You bet your ass. Line up libertarians so I can piss on ’em.

Gar!

I’m really exhausted mentally after yesterday’s BS. I’m growing more and more tired of the crappy game you have to play to be able to live in society. I’m thinking leaving it all behind would be an acceptable alternative. Live on an island somewhere? Maybe hard work in a developing nation?

It’s just hard to come to the realization of just how much this world sucks. At the same time, It’s an amazing world.

Taking things one day at a time. Realizing I should never have sold out my soul to Fair Isaac & Co.

Maybe it’s time for a revolution? Karl Marx, where are you?

I mean, how much is too much? When will the workers wake up and realize that all power does not derive from wealth and resources?

Gar.

I’m probably just (Male)PMS-y and upset from yesterday’s car theft and financial issues.

But really, what’s the point?

Grr, Argh. Need to socialize!

I feel a great need to have a get-together, but I don’t know where to fit it in or how to afford it.

The Monkey Hut needs love! I also need to play some games with other people. Trouble is, No extra cash for gas to go places, or with which to purchase snacks or other such stuff. Perplexing.

I wish our fun place wasn’t so far away from our current PDX peeps, it makes it difficult to say to anyone, “hey come over and hang.” And I’m guessing there is little luck easily meeting interesting people in Troutdale/Gresham. Oh, they must be out there, but not in great amounts. I forget how much I needed personal interaction and chatting in person – phone or IM or email just doesn’t cut it.

Even then, this weekend’s time is small – Friday we are going to a party in St. Johns, Sunday we are going to celebrate ‘s bday. Saturday we should be at helping at the Haunt.

We seem to be full of social plans, but not in the type that I currenly would like. Boy do I sound bitchy and needy, huh?

Well, in other news, I’m thinking about trying to start an RPG campaign up (yet again). I sure hope this one will stick. Going back to the old standby CHAMPIONS. After watching HellBoy and Spiderman2 has really re-kindled the old RPG feelings. Broke out the RPG boxes and re-read the 5th ed. HERO rulebook. Good memories there. Perhaps tonight I’ll roll up a few characters and do some brainstorming? That sounds fun.

Oh, being broke sucks.

P.S. I can’t wait for school to start! (I better start saving for tuition and books.)

P.P.S. I’m seriously thinking about stopping driving and instead riding my bike to MAX and then to School, work, etc. As soon as all the work stuff is moved to the new office, I shouldn’t need to go between the 2 offices anymore, the bike should work. I don’t know if MAX vs. car/gas will save any $$, but it sure would help to get my ass in shape.

P.P.P.S. Need to go camping again. Bellknap coming up, that will be fun.

various weekend news and update

Back from camping

Boy that was a ton of fun. We swam, hiked, laid on the riverside, saw the Trees of Mystery, visted Fern Canyon (gorgeous), etc.

Much relaxation was had.

However, when confronting life on Monday, had a serious-type mood swing and depressive thoughts.
All better today – I think there wasn’t enough time to become acustomed to the routine again. Either that or I am crazy.

Heather started her new shift today (6am-2:30pm) so she’ll be a (rightful) bear to deal with as she gets small amounts of sleep, poor monkey. She has an interview on Wednesday, so everyone wish her well.

I am now an official PSU student. I registered, got my Student ID, my Library account, and my Computer account. Classes start in Sept, so now I’m in “save and save” mode for when we’ll need the cash later.

Work is OK – Its free-form nature is as much a bad point as a good point lately, as I only have self-created (yet needed) busy work lately, such as inventory and preparing for a move.

Oh, and I hope can get a break to come visit us and the Monkey Hut.

BTW, , Monkey Hut is open weeknights as well as weekends. Make your reservation!
