Anniversaries

So today is the 11th anniversary of and my first date. It was a Friday 11 years ago as well. We went to the (now gone) Cafe Figaro (we called it Cafe Fig’s) at the end of melrose (LA), then walked around the fun shops on melrose such as the Bodhi Tree (yes we were Pagan-ish at the time) Soap Plant, Wacko, Le Luz de Jesus, Drake’s (aww yeah), wasteland.

Many of those places are gone or moved now, Melrose looks completely different, we’ve moved as well, twice.

It’s funny that 10 years ago, on our 1st anniversary, Heather was in England and we missed out on celebrating. This year, she’s in England again. So some things still stay the same. Ten years ago I was distraught that she was absent, while now (though I miss her to pieces) she is travelling with my blessing.

Just chatted on the phone, the poor dear is sick as all hell. She and my sister are going to see “Jerry Springer, the Musical” toinght in London, so that should be fun.

Me, I dunno what I’ll do tonight. I really should clean up this house, do some laundry. What is the fun in that though, eh, precious?

I should also be saving money so I should be on the cheap. What fun can be had on the cheap? Movies, PBR, yes, yes.

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone want to hang? I am in a bit of a mood for the drink.

I also need to find a place that has Rocky Horror Karaoke because the world needs to hear my rendition of “I’m going home.” I was born to voice Frank N Furter, even if I crib from the illustrious Mr. Curry.

Someone needs to stop this crazy time machine.

  1. Sara and I had our first date on Friday, April 11th.

One month to go and we’ll have been going out for a year. Of course, we stopped just dating a long time ago, about 4 days after our first date 😛

If I weren’t still paying off my last Portland trip my love, I would be there in a New York Minute. Well, except for fun beach weekend. Could not go to drill, slow transfer or something.

  2. make sure you have hard records of trying like hell to get to drill, Mr.

HARD records, and make sure some upper up knows, expressing yor concern about what record keeping you need to do to show diligence in this matter!!

    OK?! 😀

  3. I’m probably going to the Alberta Street Pub tonight to do some set dancing with the set dance folks. There’ll be an Irish trad. session playing. So if you should find yourself looking for an Irish pub tonight, I’ll be able to hang out when I’m not dancing.
