So I couldn’t stand having just a Fandango barcode’s promise of tickets for the The Lord of the Rings trilogy tuesday:
Easy place to find. There are plent of “chain” eateries around the area: Chili’s, TGI Fridays, etc. There are also some keen local places – H and I ate at a coffee shop/diner called “Eggies.” Deeeeelicious. There were only the locals, hipsters, and grannies there with us.
Also almost sharing the parking lot was a Vagabond Executive motel. This would be a perfect staging point for a room on Monday and Tuesday night. I’m looking into cost and such.
I don’t want to jinx anything, since I did NOT get Trilogy Tuesday Tickets…but if I manage to get the 16th off work (and I’m getting lecture after lecture from the contract agency reminding me that I agreed to this contract on condition that I was ABSOLUTELY AVAILABLE, no day off requests!)…
…well, *IF* I get the day off, let’s say that a ticket MIGHT MAGICALLY APPEAR…
Because I have Friends That Rock(TM) and somehow managed to LEGALLY get a pair of tickets (for me and Alfredo).
But I don’t HAVE mine, like YOU do. Pthththththbthbthbthbtpt
Maybe you should eat some raw pork on sunday, be physically ill in office on Monday, take tuesday off to “recuperate.”

After tomorrow, it will be less than one week.
Oh, and I think we’ll be going over there on monday evening, so some re-planning will likely happen. Let’s get together online or through email to finish up the plan, eh?

I keep hearing about how good Original Pete’s pizza is, but it’s about 15 miles away from the theater- not sure how long the gaps between screenings.

I also hope we’ll be able to get settled in to one set of seats and be able to keep them the whole time so we don’t have to re-line up after each showing. Does that sound fussy?
And no sitting in the back of the theater! If I wanted to watch these on a little screen in the distance, I’d stay home and watch the DVD. Big movies! Big screen! Woohoo!
I think we’ll likely break up the 12 person group to accomodate prefrences. I for one, will be in your “big screen” aisle.
