Hm

I have two games now that pull my spare time, and I am enjoying both of them immensly.

Both are on my first console (ok, I did have a NES for 5 days in 1991, gave it away when I got a 386sx pc clone), the Xbox *swoons*

1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: This game is amazing in a playability sense. The game itself isn’t “amazing” in any sense – it follows the Wasteland/Fallout/Baldur’s Gate Bioware model of RPGs. The playability however is breathtaking. I am enjoying myself in RPG ways that I thought were gone! I thought I was too old or out-of-use for RPG games since I didn’t enjoy Baldur’s. The game is just plain fun, and it gets better with playtime. I am up to about 30 hours in and ( for those who are also playing) I am in Manan.

2. Silent Hill 2: Picked up for a song, this older title looked cool because I wanted a fun scary game (this was also due to the influnce of my good friend who also wanted a good scary game). We played it for about 4 or 5 hours Saturday night and only broke off for want of sleep. This game is great and scary and fun. There is a bit in the game that you can tell when the zombies are close due to weird static on a portable radio you have. Oh, and most of game is in the mist, or in dark buildings where you only have a flashlight. FUN. I want to play this game sooo much, but I have to wait for to be available because we have to play it together.

Fun!

I don’t know if I can last 2 more months

I just had to write an email to my CIO that is the corporate equivalent of explaining to him why his face hurts when he puches himself in the face. Oh, and I already months ago said “don’t hit yourself in the face, it will hurt.” Now he asks me “Why does it hurt?”

idiots. I’m surrounded by them.

Fun

Network connectivity at work has been down all day.

Sure glad I’m not in the networking dept.!

Breaking News

Well, broke the news here.

Unfortunately, this money crunch and savings has nixed any trip or purchase plans, so our NY trip is cancelled. 🙁

Plus-side: once we are set in portland, we should be able to re-plan trip, so I’ll say the NY is instead delayed for the forseeable future. That sounds better, right?
