Here is my worklist of things to do today:
1. Put together and air out tents for camping
2. Finish Laundry so we have clothes next week because we’re camping this weekend
3. Double check all the camping supplies, see what we may still need
4. Mow the front yard (and possibly the back yard as well)
5. Go to bank
6. Get oil change in Hansel
7. Go to store for things for camping and for making of creme brulees for camping
8. Make said creme brulees
9. Pick up
That’s a full errand day for a vacation!
Where am I going to find the time to update Live Journal?
I can do (or help) with 1, 2, 3, and 7 (except creme brulees) when I get home, we actually do have plenty of time. You want to sneak some Morrowind playing in there. 😀
But you do have to pick up my package, it’s a very important one from and .
David suggested I approach you about hosting a photo for a “contest” I want to run here on LJ. It’s nothing really but… I could use the help and people might have fun/learn from it. I want help coming up with a suitable [and cool] name for a dog kennel/breeding program I am starting up over the next few months. I have no idea about how to upload an image of an example of the breed to stimulate ideas. Of course the winner will be given credit for the name on the website and perhaps be given a pelt… joking. Any help or suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.
Porkin’ poochies! At least, that’s my concept
All you really need to do, if you want to be evil, is go to google.com, and look at the “images” tab. Search there for a picture that would be suitable, and then right-click the picture and select “Properties”. There, you will see “Address”. Select the line there and copy it (Ctrl+C). Then just Ctrl+V it into any web page (livejournal updates included), and put “
” on the end.
But that’s stealing bandwidth.
And personally, I believe there should be no breeding until the kennels and shelters are empty, but I’m not going to argue it.
All feed back is WELCOME! Actually, the breed is incredibly rare and the breeding program is geared toward improving the integrity and longevity of the breed itself. The breed is so rare that the Google search for associated images came up null. The website is not only for selling pups [1 litter per year is planned] but also for education concenring the abuse of various breeds considered “fighting” or “gladiator” dogs. It will be aimed at dissuading tolerance for such and attempt to educate and hopefully expose common myths surrounding the discrimination of this particular breed and put the blame where it belongs, on the human beings creating puppy mills and perpetuating animal abuse. Hmm… that be many plenty words. Thanks for the post.
hehe, cool. So, what’s the breed, or combination of breeds?
you make creme brulee for camping?
Yeah, it is cool. I am very excited about this since I have never bred dogs before. I am hooked in with numerous vets and experienced breeders and so will learn as I whelp…
Of course, I am not new to dogs and have researched this and similar breeds for years. To actually breed though… that is a whole different process. I am interested in a few breeds in particular. They are as follows, in no particular order: The American Pitbull Terrier, The American Bulldog [I am the proud father of an 11 month old male!], The Presa Canario and the Caucasian Mountain Dog. So… that being said, there will not be an actual “kennel” as dames and sires will be [for the most part] placed in the homes of responsible families. The application process for a pup is going to put off all but the most sincere and committed customer… the price will put off even more. However, I don’t care about having a waiting list for these pups [although there surly will be] because they are either to much for most, misunderstood or misused by many and only appropriate for a few of the remainder. Again, this may be many plenty to many words.
6. Get oil change in Hansel
I assume you mean that you have to get Hansel an oil change. 😉
8. Make said creme brulees
I assume you will not be backpacking then?
Well, The camping trip is with friends of so I wanted to bring fun things to eat. My specialties are cheesecake and creme brulee and I decided to bring the brulees because I’ll also bring the sugar and torch so everyone can do their own caramel top. Fun!
8. Nope, Drive up tent camping.
6. While the latter is actually what I meant, the former would likely be more fun.
