Yesterday saw a frustrating day, I was trying to get NT4 server on this compaq dl380 that would not comply! I couldn’t find any newer install media than NT4 server SP1 (ew), and it kept blue screening on me during install, Compaq’ “smart start” was giving me shit. I eventually found the culprit — bad drivers for the NIC. Still got blue screen. Poopie.
So I rethought and hoped I could do w2000 (building recovery server for exchange 5.5). So I did dual boot for 2000, installed fine, 5.5 fine, started restore this morning. Yay.
In other news there are many projects coming up – mail rerouting, novell file moves, AD optimization, etc.
Not to mention all the day-to-day crap and stuff.
Non-Work:
Due to my frustrating day (ended decently, though),
Came back, made cocktails (I did Hurricanes in tumblers), our neighbor came over and we watched the TV till we were tired and kicked em out. Sleepy bed time, yay.
See, sometimes it’s comforting to know that despite you being a really interesting person, your life is primarily just as boring as the rest of ours. 😛
Ok, I was there, and it wasn’t that boring! We had tempura fried bananas and green tea ice cream! We mocked Angel! We made funny jokes and noted the number of hot chicks in the sushi place! We made plans to see the Red Elvises when they come to town! I’m using exclamation points to make it sound more interesting!
That’s right folks, it’s a non-on-the-spot concert plan!
May 25th, red elvises.. you know you’re down!
What does green tea ice cream taste like?
David
Surprisingly, not unlike chicken
in a very non chicken like sort of way.
Ah yes, the dreaded Compaq DL380. I hate this machine, too.
Uh, like green tea. Not really sweet, it’s more like a sorbet, really.
It’s golden if you’re installing W2k, Linux, etc.. NT4 sucks goats.
