Penn & Teller are my heroes.

We caught Penn & Teller: BULLSHIT! last night on Shotime.

Ok, we really didn’t ‘catch’ it, since we purposely re-ordered Shotime just to watch it.

This week was debunking Psychic talkers to the dead and such rubbish, what a great show. What a god damned fabulous show. I certainly hope they put these on DVD.

Also, before it was on, I caught (actually, this time) the movie North. Damn, I love that movie. I remember being very alone in that opinion, and to this day I just don’t understand why it wasn’t a hit or popular or what not. I mean, yeah the acting is not that great, and yeah, there are many kids in it – but the art direction and the simplicity of the story — it’s like watching a colourful Children’s book, or a happy Roald Dahl. Everything is so classicly cliche. Ah well, I’ll just have to like it all by my lonesome. 😉

ponderous

How can you hate and like a job at the same time? Is it just like a slot machine, am I happy here when I get cherries, forgetting I mostly get nothing?

poker tonight

ok
so who is close and open for Poker tonight? anyone?

? ?

Anyone is welcome, of course, but I wouldn’t want to be responsible for long drives and such, just a quick get-together for some poker fun, $5/person stake

I suck.

All this st00pid POS job does is make me forget to call and wish my friends happy birthday on their birthday. 🙁

so, happy belated birthday, !!!

grumble, grumble, grumble.

Blah

No new excitingness with me, I forgot to send out the invites for a possible Poker night, so there will be no Poker night tonight.

I am trying to restrain myself from purchasing “SimCity4” for the PC or “Gauntlet Legends” for the Xbox because neither are in the budget. I’ll have to wait for my slushfund next month.

We made a huge pot of low point (WW) soup last night that is deeelicious. I’m looking forward to turning the leftovers into a rice and chicken dish tomorrow.

That’s about it. Whoo-hoo, excitement.

yes, still obsessing over Queens of the Stone Age

Current Obsession

Queens of the Stone Age
Mosquito Song

I know, I know the sun is hot
Mosquitos come suck your blood
Leave you there all alone
Just skin and bone
When you walk among the trees
Listening to the leaves
The further I go the less I know
The less I know

Where will you run?
Where will you hide?
Lullabies
To paralyze

Fat and soft, pink and weak
Foot and thigh, tongue and cheek
You know I’m told they swallow you whole
Skin and bone
Cutting boards and hanging hooks
Bloody knives, cooking books
Promising you won’t feel a thing
At all

Swallow and chew
Eat you alive
All of us food that hasn’t died
And the light says

Somehow they pick and pluck
Tenderize bone to dust
The sweetest grease, finest meat you’ll ever taste
Taste, taste
So you scream, whine, and yell
Supple sounds of dinner bells
We all will feed the worms and trees So don’t be shy

Swallow and chew
Eat you alive
All of us food that hasn’t died

It’s all basically a “Carpe Diem” song, but the phrase “All of us food that hasn’t died” sticks with me. We’re worm food. Live each day.
