Angel

OK, that was a better show last night. Of course, that’s all because of David Fury! Wow, what a writer.
However, are we supposed to be mad at Wesley? Cause I’m way on his side. I mean, what kind of friends would abandon you like that (especially when they know why you did what you did) without discussion, without talking? Friends just don’t do that — at least not anyone I would want to be friends with. Bastards, all of em. I hope Connor stakes that no-good Dad of his. Loving W&H! I have so much fun with that agency and their characters.
Oh, and a big + for the shoutout to the snow-in-so-cal buffy ep!

Enjoying it through clenched teeth!

NEW BUFFY TONIGHT!

The 7 year itch tour: show #6

OK here’s there report

After shopping for a top for myself for the show ( A nice long sleeve T-shirt-fabric black number with a Skull’nXbones on it) and other fun (drinks at a pub, drinks and lunch at the Palace Hotel, sephora shopping), we get to the Warfield and wait in line ( it is a Gen Admin show)
About 5 people in front of us is , but since I don’t know her other than noticing that she also had a live journal when I did a search for users in Petaluma, I didn’t introduce myself or anything. Would have been too creepy, I feel.
So Heather had to work, and she wasn’t going to get there till about 7:00 which is when the doors opened. My sister waited outside for H and I went in to secure tables, which I did, and H and Cindy (My sister) came in about 10 minutes later.

There were 2 opening bands.

First one was a QueerCore Lesbian punk band named Tribe 8 who were very cool and fun. The lead singer was a hot butch who in the last song, was topless and had a large strap on that was being fellated by two male groupies in front of her while she sang. Yes, they were that good. Yay! new band!

Next up was a 3-member Japanese pop-punk group, but I don’t remember their name because they didn’t impress me all that much – I think I was just eager for the grandmother of goth.

Long about 10:00 PM, Siouxsie comes onstage and starts with the 1st track instrumental from “The Scream” and runs into track 2 on “The Scream,” Jigsaw Feeling.

That made one happy Craig.

Followed by Metal Postcard (mittag eisen), and B-sides such as I could be again, and pre-Tinderbox tunes from JuJu, a Kiss in the Dreamhouse, and Join Hands (no Kaleidoscope ‘Christine’ tonight — though we did get Tenant).
Actually, it was a JuJu heavy show with Spellbound, Arabian Nights, Monitor, Night Shift (The ultimate in Craig favourites), and Voodoo Dolly.

Two encores, and a statement Siouxsie made that sticks in my head:

Siouxsie: “Show number 6 in the 7 year itch, and the itch just keeps getting bigger!”

Does this hint at a more-than-reunion tour? This banshee certainly hopes so.

wee

Back at work, very tired. Everything is loud. I want to go home and sleep. The concert was fantastic. Wow even.

One day ’till Siouxsie!!

Picking up my sister from the Airport tonight, getting ready for Siouxsie Tomorrow night!
This show will be my 11th time (if you don’t count the Creatures — If you do, it would be 15.)
Yippie Skippy!

Workout!

After a lunch workout I feel much better. Damn the scale! as long as I get a smaller waist and feel good, right?

Right?

😀

*yawn*

Can you have two Mondays?
Still 230 lbs, so I’m a bit dejected. Pants are looser, so it’s likely muscle gain that kept me at the same weight, but still. I’d like some progress.
Also I’m feeling socially bad because there are these great Anti-war Palestinian demonstrations going on in SF and I so want to be there to do my part in fighting the good fight, and also show the media that we’re all not behind the current administration’s “look the other way cause they’re our friends” poor excuse for foreign policy.
Hm. Maybe sometime in the future I can live out my activist tendencies. Perhaps I’ll look into volunteering locally tutoring kids in science. That’s a constructive way to give back.

Blah.

I’m in a daily operations meeting that is soooooo boring (by phone) . I’m on mute, and I don’t have to talk unless we have had issues, which we haven’t, so I get to sit and listen to a bunch of Minnesotans chat about crap. Oooh yaaa. You’re darn tootin’.

Looks like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays!

Hi ho.
Back at work and I wonder where the weekend went. Got some new books & tunes in the city on Saturday, did some house & yard work on Sunday. We put up a nice bookshelf in the Glamour Room for the Rock CDs, and now we have all the CDs put away and in order. Whew! with the new 8 we got on Sunday, we still need about 75+ before we break 1,000. Maybe by Christmas. We need to grow our dance/trance/house section, Classical section, and Ambient section.
Ugh. I can’t face work just yet, so I think I’ll diddle around websites and stuff for a while.

Scorpion King

Oh boy did that suck. I was absolutely horrible. I loved every minute of it. Cliche and trite, bad acting all around. Ahhhh. Makes me think of 80’s bad sword and sorcery movies. Pure cheese.

Home for the weekend

So I’m home and for some unknown reason I’m all pissed cranky. Can’t figure it out, nothing is obviously bothering me. Hmmm. Just feel like breaking things. Very strange. I think I need some bloody red meat from tortured cows. That should fix things right up! Thank you cows!
